{when people underestimate Lapis} REALLY Lapis took out every crystal gem with a CRACKED gem (why did I make this comment)
I am one hundred percent sure they are not gonna pull out the diamonds THE MAIN THREAT OF THE SERIES for some sidekick character ark main threats are always saved for the main characters and are done in a major plot with increasingly dangerous threats leading up to the big reveal so they ain't gonna be like oh look big bad guys let's send some b class gems to take them down that would undermine the diamonds and we really don't want another cluster experience do we?

what if they((Connie, Peridot, and Lapis)) are on a "mission" to take care of the town, whether it's fighting a corrupted gem, or just helping out the humans in the city.
What if they get into a fight about how the organization should work or something about how lapis needs to be kinder to humans. And in a spur of the moment, lapis acidentally hurts Peridot somehow, causing her to poof.
I don't know how likely it is, since it's a little on the cliche anime scenereo side, but who knows? they use a lot of cliche anime moments, ehhhh, either way I'd like to see this, I can imagine this would be great for potential character development, I can imagine Lapis feeling an insane amount of guilt do to how close her and Peri have become, I can imagine her either running away, or rushing to the poffed gem's side. either way i think she would act frantic, worried, and crushed with guilt. A lapis breakdown would be most definite. I can almost hear her saying "Nononononononoononono, Peridot? Peridot! ohno, ohno, I didn't mean to! I was just so mad I-!" or something similar, Lapis then facing her guilt((or maybe saving it for future plot development)) And her and Connie watching over Peri as they wait for her to reform. The image in my head right now is Peridot popping back to normal, and being perfectly fine((possibly warry of lapis but idk, I feel the have developed too stong a partnership for Peri to hold anything against her for long, plus Peri always puts up her confident front)) I think Peridot would put up her usual confident front, showing off her new star, before Lapis breaks down and hugs her((possibly saying sorry or that she was worried? but I see lapis more as an actions speak louder than words kind of person)) and Lapis realizes how much she cares for her comrades((possibly accepting herself as a crystal gem, but it's doubtful, she may just consider herself an ally and keep it at that, but probs not say it outloud yet, just kind of, silently except it))
I have a theory! If you look at SliceOfOtaku's eyes at 0:30 seconds you will see something in his eyes.. COINCIDENCE? I THINK NOT! IF YOU TAKE A PICTURE OF ANY OF THE DIAMONDS YOU WILL SEE THEY HAVE A DIAMOND SHAPE IN THEIR EYE AS WELL. THIS CAN ONLY MEAN ONE THING….. SLICE OF OTAKU IS WHITE DIAMOND! White diamond is never shown or really mentioned in any of the episodes. MAYBE BECAUSE WHITE DIAMOND IS TOO BUSY MAKING YOUTUBE VIDEOS!!!! MAYBE THIS IS WHY SLICE OF OTAKU'S PREDICTIONS ARE USALLY NEARLY CORRECT BECAUSE WHITE DIAMOND ALREADY KNEW WHAT HAPPENED BUT DIDN'T WANT TO GIVE THEIR COVER AWAY
