Whenever these guys go up against one another, I think of the time when these guys teamed up to take Nadal/Nole in a doubles match (2009 it was I guess) and ended up winning against them.

Well sadly not to be for Milos. I thought he might have a chance to reach his first ever quarterfinal here, but I didn't check properly that he was up against Vasek in the second round. As soon as I re-correctedly saw that match-up in the draw, I had a feeling he was going to be tested against Vasek as a potential banana peel, and so it proved to be. The completion of the grand slam set of quarterfinals for Milos will have to wait for another year. He wasn't moving particularly well in this match and wasn't clutch enough on the crucial points. If it wasn't for his great serve that kept him in the competitive hunt, I think he would've been mangled in straight sets with how well Vasek was playing. Because at the same time, Vasek was rock solid with cat-like nimbleness. Huge clutch serving and well rounded all-court tactics… just too good on the day. To back it up in the next round will be another matter, but so far he's played two great matches.

This was a great tennis match between two Canadians who both have awesome serves.
Vasek Pospisil is better than his #94 ranking. Milos Raonic was looking real good until he ran into Pospisil. Milos still has a wicked serve and will be a force to be reckoned with in future tournaments.
It's too bad this match wasn't a quarterfinal one instead of a second rounder

Pospisil is serving huge here. I am glad to see him comeback. I think he had some injuries and lost some belief in himself for a few years. He has the weapons and tactics to be a top 20 player.

In the next 5 years, Raonic will lose weight and he will get more agile. He just needs to keep it up and he'll be good.

Anything over 6'3" is too tall for tennis. Exponentially, movement is compromised with every inch, not to mention the effect of weight on the body.
