   I feel over bombarded with these interracial couples. I get it, they exist and that’s great, but I also notice two black parents are practically nonexistent in media now though two white parents continue to be ubiquitous. There is also this fetishization of black men and white women as if to suggest black men don’t marry black women. I would love to see equal representation, especially if you’re going to force us to watch through ads. I want to see a couple that looks like my parents for once and I don’t think that’s too much to ask. Not saying couples like this don’t exist but it’s 95% of the media and it starts to feel like erasure at a certain point because again there’s plenty of all white couples but practically 0 all black couples. I just think you all should think about whether you want to perpetuate this or actually try to be representative of people if you decide to include them. That’s the difference between diversity for marketing sake and inclusion.
