  2. It's too much to do and remember can you break the steps down, and simplify it? and my problem, is that none of my downloads can open and if they do I can read nothing they're black or blank and error messages pop up. Also none of the devices I attach work or even play a dvd movie, and it just annoying, can you please help me?

  3. Thanks, but you may have misunderstood me. It was not the window I wanted to change, but one single icon, but w/o all the geek-worthy steps it takes to do it. Code? No thanks. I don't want to have to know that much, I'd just like to be able to right-click on a folder and modify its pixels, or replace it with a more identifiable (to me) icon. The variety in the primary shell32.dll file is far too basic, and many are repetitive or just – dare I say it – too damn tame and lame. Thanks though.

  4. Between the mouse clicking sound and the Whhhirlwind tour around your screen, being zooooomed from one little corner of it to the next, I couldn't even bother with this video… Thanks for trying to help, but I can't focus on this.

  7. Its too bad geekdoms still so G/D complex. I only want to change an icon to something fun, like a sun for a weather link. I see apps & tutorials when it ought to be as simple as going to a second folder full of downloaded icons and apply one from there. Why is it so hard all the time outside of Macdom? I use XP, but had 5 years on Macs. I was sad to leave that fun, easy OS, and I see PCs still are clunky and too complex, where theres no good reason they should be.
    Thanks for listening. 🙂
