I guess this game is the direct sequel to the bad ending in Alien Shooter Vengeance.
You're lucky you're on one of the easier difficulties. OTherwise, those weapons wouldn't last you in this level. You should've at least collected the plasma cannon at the beginning room.

I just played this. I've had it in my steam bank for a while after getting it in one of those software bundles and I was legitimately hooked for the campaign! Totally took me by surprise but it was actually pretty damn fun. The colors at times really hurt my eyes but fun game.
