I miss this. :'( I saw it for the first time at Yamato station in Kanagawa Prefecture. There's something mesmerizing about Awa Odori.
eu acho a cultura japonesa tão linda! Daqui a mais dois anos Japão chegarei ai!! cultura muito rica e maravilhosa espero ver um destes festivais de perto.
Golden Time Brought me here. Interesting dance.
I was watching the anime "Golden Time" and it brought me here.. didnt know this festival is actually for realz
The reason is that White people have no rythm. Could you see a fat american White dance anything at all? LoL.
And yet they were having more fun than someone 'civilized' like you.
Hoho, they seem to be having fun.
beside the first group, i;d say that they were very good.
Not Kanagawa, Not Kagawa, TOKUSHIMA is correct regeon.
Japan fascinates me
Why do I keep coming back here? This is my 32nd time….why why why?

So, this is an Awa Odori festival that happens in Kanagawa? I knew that there were groups from outside Tokushima who perform this style, but I didn't know that there were any Awa Odori festivals besides the big one in Tokushima. I lived there for a few years. Fantastic party!
zugooy neh
Holy crap! i was in this show. when i was in japan in 2003, the JMSDF asked me and a few other Americans to join their awa odori dance group. this was probably the best time i ever had in japan. the group was called Chidori Den (drunken dancing) the crowds LOVED us. i think i still remember the dances
みんなは 嬉みたい!=)
LOL, Japanese morris-dancing…
I love Awa Odori Dances. Very spiritual and mysterious.
It's the Bubble Dance! There were some demonstrators performing this outside of Kyoto Station that let us try to dance with them, so fun!
めちゃ楽しいですよ☆
やばい!
私はこのお祭はしたいたち見ますよ!
愉しいですか?
I wonder if i said that right…^o^
Japanese odori is really unique and powerful somehow,
Something similiar is shown on animes but it usually involves dancing around a tower
neat but what exactly is the point of this festival?
