This is gameplay of the ambition mode for Dynasty Warriors 8. In this mode you pick a character and try to gather allies and materials that you need to build up your camp in hopes that the Emporer will come and visit.

Ps2 players will know, these animations suck
I have to admit the first thing i notice about the gameplay is the way the character moves from stationary to full speed and vice versa in an instant kind've annoys me. It looks like the movement analogue does nothing with the tilt distance for the joysticks and only relies on a binary move or don't move.

Waiting for the small locally owned video game store here to have it for $5 lol. That’s what I payed for the first game and it was underwhelming.
If they released dlc just to change music to something like traditional chinese music i would totally get it. I learned to love this game but music still bothers me so much. I usually play music turned off but ambient sound design is not the best because they propably thought most people play music on anyways. It is not game breaking problem but it is bothering me so much and kills all atmosphere.
I have spotify playlist with proper music just so i have some background music but have to manually stop it everytime cutacene happens. 💀

This mode looks interesting. Only tried story mode so far. Great LP btw!
I'm new to the series and only thing i dont like is they all look like young pop stars rather than military figures. Also I think music could use bit more traditional chinese music rather than rock tunes. Overall i'm still enjoying it. Dont take it too seriously or expect historically accurate game and you will have fun time.

Divine Fox is a Toukiden Tenko, a fox spirit that grows more powerful as it ages over a long period of time. They are known as the helpers of gods and chosen heroes.
They possibly reference a Beast from Japanese folklore who (if my memory serves correctly) gets stronger as it ages but unlike Tenko becomes uncontrollably violent when its at its final stage. The Nine Tailed Fox from naruto is actually a homage of sorts to this eastern folklore.
It is also possible that it references Daji, King Zhou of the Shang Dynasty most favorite wife. She was depicted in writing as a Fox Spirit of sorts, being majesticly beautiful but dangerously malevolent.

Started with Dynasty Warriors 4: Xtreme Legends, and Lu Bu is my favorite.. I know he’s a popular choice, but if I were to pick a second favorite (forgot his name) it’s the guy with a long sword that has the fire element.
