For me, I'm Chiaki all the way. Karen is kinda meh….
We get a legendary main character, with the tsundere. God forbid we see one girl who doesn't pretend like she doesn't want the guy/girl. Like irl a tsundere is toxic but an anime, just perfect. I want a good main character who gets a straightforward girl, that'd be way better

Amano better end up with Tendou, I can't stress enough how she is the best person for him. She believes in him, constantly tells him to have more confidence in himself and is generally a great person since the beginning. She has her flaws here and there but who doesn't?
The seaweed girl whose name eludes me, has the whole "basically childhood friend" vibe going but is just not a good fit at all. Yeah they have a whole, "friendly rivalry" thing going, but she genuinely belittles Amano, saying things like "Tendou is not really into you, she is into Uehara and only going out with you because she feels sorry!" It seems to be said in a comedic way but from her character point of view, is saying how someone like Tendou would never consider Amano even if she is going out with him. I really hope the writer does not cop out with the childhood friend route. Heck, Aguri is a hundred times better for Amano than her. She has great chemistry and believes in Amano too, ha ha.

This anime is rather unique to me. When you're in mid watch, it seems bad and frustrating cuz of the misunderstandings. When you finish it, you like the anime. But as time goes on you realize how unique and good this anime really is. Truly underrated imo
